June was a crazy month around here! If you follow my Instagram you already know that we went to Disney the first week of June. Which was so. much. fun! We had a blast darting from ride to ride and spending every spare second in the lazy river!
Of course, when we came back it was time to buckle down! I’ve been working like a crazy person spending my time updating our Pinterest Board Covers, re-working every. single. photo in my shop, revamping our master bathroom, organizing the area under our kitchen sink and dealing with so much personal drama!
I’m hoping things are finally turning around but I’m not sure, I’ll let you know when I do!

How to Pick the Perfect Paint Color
Picking the perfect paint color can be overwhelming… simply looking at all the paint chips can be information overload! There’s a million colors and how do you know which one will be perfect in your space? There’s dozens of whites alone! When picking the perfect color there’s definitely a method to the madness but before we can even start to determine which color is going up on the wall we need to narrow down all those paint chips.
DIY Pet Bowl Stand (with Storage!) using an Antique Box
If y’all have been with me for a minute or two (or even if you’re brand new and have just glanced at my about page) you know that my little family is made up of my hubby and our three flurry companions. Our little yorkie and two kitties are always getting into trouble and half of that trouble involves food of some kind. Dinner time at our house is kind of like a wild stampede… which is crazy for a herd of small animals (none of which weigh over 9 pounds!).
3 Quick and Easy Ways to Organize your Bathroom
Our house is sooooo close to being finished! In all the best ways, the kitchen makeover is finished, the craft rooms looking gorgeous, the living room could use a few touch-ups but for the most part it’s all set! I can walk from room to room and enjoy every space in my home which is a novel concept around here. The one space that hasn’t had any work is the master bathroom. It’s a little space and no one sees it but the hubs and I so I tend to close the door and ignore it… even though it would be nice to be finished!
How to Paint Kitchen Counters to Look like Stone
When we were planning our kitchen makeover most of the steps fell into place soooo easily… painting the cabinets, adding a gorgeous glass backsplash… especially my new chrome faucet. The one thing I couldn’t decide on was what to do with our hideous red counters!
I thought about replacing them but we weren’t quite ready for that large of a step… so we decided to go another route. We set out to do a fun little project… and now I’m here to share it with you! A fun, easy tutorial to paint kitchen counters to look like stone.
17 Beautiful Copper Kitchens
I never was one to jump from trend to trend but with the copper and rose gold tend I am firmly on board the bandwagon! I love the subtle warmth and shine it gives to a space but with so many different ways to infuse copper into a space there’s only one question: which way is right for you?
Since we just finished a kitchen makeover I thought I would be content for a couple years before I wanted to start picking out tile again! Of course, that didn’t last long. After glancing at a beautiful kitchen with a gorgeous copper faucet I thought “that’s it! that’s what I want for our next kitchen” a beautiful copper kitchen.

21 Examples of the Space Above your Kitchen Cabinets
If you have a kitchen with cabinets you know there are two options for a kitchen: cabinets that extend all the way to the ceiling or cabinets with something above them. Now that something may be empty space, it may be drywall, it may be glass fronted cabinet doors or it may be additional open shelving… but it’s something.
Something fills that empty space between your cabinets and your ceiling! Our current house has drywall which is a neat and tidy way to fill the void but honestly, I would rather have space to decorate with fun kitchen items! I love to add fun decorative pieces to a space and the kitchen can be a great place use items that are functional but also really fun (like pots on a pretty pot rack or gorgeous spice jars!).
Quick and Easy Tip for Cleaning Old Chalk off a Chalkboard
With all of the gorgeous hand-lettering that is dominating Pinterest these days I knew it was time to dust off the chalkboard in my kitchen and learn to do a little hand-lettering of my own… well more like copy and paste! I’m not great at hand-lettering but I wanted a beautiful design for my chalkboard so I came up with an easy chalkboard lettering trick… but first I need an easy tip for cleaning old chalk off a chalkboard!
The yellow chalkboard in my kitchen was actually a birthday present from my hubby three years ago! It’s a really sweet little twin bed headboard that was re-purposed into a chalkboard and I love that he bought it at a thrift store for me. We hung it in the kitchen over our pretty little tufted bench and I love the contrast it brings with the gray walls.
Blue, Gray, and White Elephant Nursery Inspiration
Maybe this goes without saying but I’m a little obsessed with Elephants. They’re elegant and whimsical but most of all they’re the perfect neutral background for pops of pink or blue. Although I think the elephants are perfect for a sweet little blue, gray and white boy nursery!
I’ve gathered all of my favorite inspiration into one place… a sweet little elephant rocker (instead of your traditional horsey rocker… this one looks plush and wonderful), elephant bedding, even a fun little elephant rug.
15 Copper Kitchen Accents
I am absolutely in love with our new copper paper towel holder… it’s just a little accent but it makes me want to start an entire new kitchen project! With an entire list of copper kitchen accents! Wouldn’t that be amazing? I thought my little copper inspiration post would scratch the itch but I’m still loving the slightly rose gold hue.
I mean just look at that pretty copper hue?! It fits right in with my antique ice cream maker and my little diy recipe box! Now I just have to decide which copper kitchen accent from this list is going to be the next item to sneak it’s way into our kitchen!
Rose Gold and Blush Nursery
Rose gold is the trend of the year and I am definitely firmly on the bandwagon. I absolutely love the sheen… it’s the perfect combination of sophistication, elegance and whimsy. I mean even though we just finished our kitchen renovation I’m kind of digging the rose gold faucet I saw in a mood board on instagram. So these days everything I’m planning has a touch of rose gold… including all of my ideas for a sweet rose gold and blush nursery.
See my best friend is having a little baby girl in a couple months (little baby Elizabeth Rose!) and my cousin just had a baby girl a month ago (Addision). How awesome are those names?! So baby girl nurseries are on the top of my mind! One of my co-workers is having a baby and I’m hoping it’s a boy so I can start dreaming up little boy nurseries too… balance out my brain :).
