Spring Tablescape: How to Take an Easter table to Spring in Minutes!

Hey y'all,

When it comes to holidays and the seasons we can get overwhelmed with having all the decorations! Whether we’re talking Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, 4th of July… being the hostess with the mostess means having specific decorations for every single event… right? RIGHT!?

Here’s the thing y’all… there is absolutely nothing wrong with having all the pretty things and setting your table for each and every holiday that comes up on the calendar. Labor Day? Got it! BUT if you’re overwhelmed and ready to tone it done a notch there’s nothing wrong with broader themes… spring, fall, winter.

Heck… there’s nothing wrong with having one set of dishes for every single day of the year but if you’re here that’s probably not your jam. So whether you’re going from Christmas to Winter or Easter to Spring there are a few things you can do to simplify your table. AND if you don’t have specific holiday dishes setting your table seasonally can work just as easily… instead of setting the table for Easter in the first place let’s just focus on spring!

Supply List:

  • Matceramica Blush Pink Dinner Plates
  • Matceramica Blush Pink Salad Plates
  • Southern Living Easter Bunny Salad Plates
  • Pink Buffalo Check Chargers
  • Pink Scalloped Placemats
  • Holographic Highball Glasses
  • White Table Runner
  • Large Copper Tree (Found on Marketplace but here is a similar one)
  • Oneida Countess Flatware
  • Resin Lightbulbs

Step 1: Simplify your Table

My table is currently set for Easter with all of my bunnies and eggs… they’re so cute! But if we’re trying to work with a more generic spring themed table let’s start by removing all the Easter touches. That means taking all of the cute bunnies off the island and pie safe… snagging the resin eggs off the centerpiece and the larger holographic eggs off the table.

And those super cute bunny rabbit plates? Well we’ll leave that up to you… because bunnies could be for spring. They’re not necessarily EASTER bunnies. They’re just cute bunnies! But if the goal is to distinctly distinguish between spring and Easter let’s take those ad boys and put them away.

.

Step 2: Add in Florals for Spring

Okay now that all the bunnies are put away let’s start bringing in other elements to replace them… in this case florals and pastels for spring! Since our cute resin easter eggs are going back into storage let’s grab a few resin light bulbs to hang on our centerpiece.

They’re so cute!

Sticking with the florals I have a small pink and sage green floral arrangement we can use to replace the larger holographic eggs. They’re the perfect colors to compliment the rest of our table!

Although if you want to really live it up fresh cut flowers are always better than faux! Faux just last longer **wink wink**

Step 3: Work on those Salad Plates!

Here’s the thing y’all… when it comes to having multiple tablescapes my number one trick is to buy salad plates that coordinate with my everyday dishes. These cute little easter bunny plates work with my pink dinner plates… and so do my lenox salad plates for Christmas.

That way instead of having to store entire dish sets I simply have to store an extra 4-8 salad plates per season. From there I’ll buy the cutest extra pieces of the collection… for Easter that was a large bunny platter and small serving bowl. For Christmas it’s a super cute salt and pepper set… for summer it’s a drink pitcher shaped like a gorgeous floral bloom and a matching salt and pepper set.

Honestly… the salt and pepper set is usually the cheapest, cutest, easiest set to switch out with your salad plates and my go-to solution for seasonal decor.

So in this case we’ll replace those bunnies with the pink salad plates that match our dinner plates… and put the serving pieces away.

Although the baby bunnies would work for spring if you love them enough to keep them out for the season!

And there we have it! A few small changes that took our table from Easter to Spring in moments. We can now use this tablescape for several months… honestly it would be cute into summer if you’re not looking to keep even more dishes on hand.

I may switch it out for my super cute mermaid plates (and the matching salt and pepper shakers!)
