Feminine Bedding Update for the Winter

This post is sponsored by Kohl’s, but all opinions are entirely my own

Hey y'all,

With the weather turning colder I thought it was time for a little bedding update! I absolutely love the blush colored bedding I picked up from Kohl’s last year but my water-colored floral comforter was just a little too springy for November.

So I put it away and went on a quick shopping trip to update my bedding. I absolutely love the Scandinavian style that is so popular this year but I’m just not minimalist enough to really pull it off. So I decided to pull my two favorite parts of the style and put them to good use in my bedroom update: a monochromatic color palette and soft, white, fluffy textures.

I’ll tell you… even Bitty and Sugar are a fan of this mini update!

Sheets:

I started with the basics. These microfiber sheets are grey so they work perfectly with my blush and white color palette. The plaid pattern is super close to the buffalo check that’s so trendy these days… although I am partial to the stripes in this plaid.

I love the skinny and wide variations!

I picked these specific sheets because I love the feel of microfiber… although they do come in flannel if you live up north! Alabama is hot y’all… even when it’s cold.

Pillows:

Are you ready for the sherpa!

I grabbed these sherpa pillows from Kohls to go with my sheets. They’re white and fluffy so they definitely pull in that Scandinavian vibe. They’re from the same Cuddl Duds line as the sheets so I know they’re great quality.

Of course, my favorite part is that they’re fuzzy. These babies are great for propping you up while you work in bed. Plus they’re very warm so they’ll keep you toasty when you’re snuggled up in bed.

I also am a fan of how the fuzziness of the sherpa contrasts with the smoothness of the microfiber (I mean just take a look at the pillows right next to each other!). Such a killer contrast!

Blankets:

Just look at that play of textures!! The fuzzy sherpa plays nicely with the pin-tucked coverlet and the minky of my weighted blanket. Plus it’s gray on the back so it pulls in the little hint of gray from the pretty microfiber sheets in step one…

I am telling y’all this sherpa blanket is perfect to curl up under and read a good book… or keep you warm and toasty while you’re working! A good blanket is a must have when updating your bedding for winter… that way you can add layers (or take them away) depending on how cold it is.

Plus I love that it matches the euro pillows!

Ready for the new look?

I absolutely love how it all came together! It works perfectly with my existing blush bedding… and after sleeping in it for a couple of nights I can tell you how soft the sheets are!

I couldn’t resist changing out the blush pillows for a pretty *blush* pillow with white snowflakes and a fuzzy back. It works perfectly with the sherpa pillows!!

Then I just had to switch the canvas over my bed for a “Letter to Santa” sign to complete the holiday transformation.

I am in love!
