Alright y’all after a year of fun in our pretty new kitchen I’m back to share how our peek and stick kitchen backsplash tiles held up! I absolutely love how these babies look and they were so easy to install.
So here’s the info… these peel and stick tiles are amazing. They are glass so they’re super easy to clean and on the good parts of the wall (the flat drywall) they held up like a boss. They aren’t coming off or having any problem what-so-ever.
Now behind the sink is another story. Someone had placed laminate flooring on the wall behind the sink originally and while we took it off it has affected some of the tiles where the laminate tile use to be. Mainly a small ridge has formed over the last year causing this break in the tile.
It stinks.
It’s fixed now! Yippie but unfortunitely the hubby fixed it by himself and I have no idea what he did to fix it. So I can’t share it with all of you… but if you have a weird uneven wall that’s causing your backsplash to buckle apparentally there is a fix out there somewhere. Don’t dispair!
I just don’t know what it is. Sorry y’all.
The rest of the tile is still amazing. I have cleaned it several times with glass cleaner or scrubbing bubbles (whatever I have on hand at the moment) the hubby was partial to the Colorox bleach. Honestly he’d bleach anything and everything he could get his hands on. Boy had a mad fascination with germs for such a messy human.
In short, I am absolutely in love with these glass peel and stick tiles. As far as I am concerned they look just like the real thing with half the work. I am getting ready to start on a new house and I’ll definitely be using these bad boys again.
Hopefully the wall at my new place won’t have stupid laminate flooring on it so I don’t have an uneven wall.
A girl can dream anyways.
