Have you ever driven around a neighborhood with your best friend looking at all the beautiful houses and deciding which one is your favorite? Which one you would love to live in and planning how you would paint the front door or which plants you would fill the flower beds in?
Maybe you’re like the hubby and I and you enjoy crashing open houses to see how different homes look on the insides. Imagining how your furniture would look in different homes or how your family would function with a brand new copper farmhouse sink (I think my family would be wonderful with one of those… hint hint!).
Either way looking at new homes can be a bit like window shopping for your future… and who doesn’t love that?!
The hubs and I have been dreaming of owning our own home for years and it’s hard to think I’ll be buying our first home without him one day. In the meantime I’m distracting myself with virtually touring the 2018 HGTV® Dream Home.
It’s not quite our “style” as the hubby would say… that was his catch phrase even though he didn’t quite understand what our “style” was. He just knew he loved our home, thank goodness! I would have to look at these photos and say honey just look at that gorgeous upholstered headboard… that is completely our style!
Or that gorgeous Chinook Bait & Tackle sign? Look at the scale on that thing… completely our style! The aqua, gray and white rug in the photo below? So close to the rug in our living room! I love the elements in this home.
Do you see the wall sized mural in this bedroom? I absolutely love the detail! It’s such a wonderful touch. I could definitely see myself walking around this open house with the hubs pointing our all the fun little details… although he would probably be trying on those coats or lounging on the bed. The goober.
