Plan with Me for November 13-19 in my Happy Planner featuring Cinderella Paper

Hey y'all,

I know it’s November y’all… Thanksgiving is next week after all! I am taking a quick break from the fall themed kits to use this fun pink and rose gold themed kit for my cousins wedding! She’s getting married this Saturday and I knew this kit would be perfect. It’s just so cute for a big southern wedding.

It’s the Bridesmaid kit by Cinderella paper and y’all it is perfection paired with a few fun rose gold accents. I absolutely loved it! I know that there are lots of people in the world who hate weddings… they think they’re unconvenient, a waste of time and money yada yada yada. I love them. I love watching people in love commit themselves to each other. I love spending time with my family and friends. I love dancing the night away with my husband. I love cake!

All around it’s a great time.

So I love using wedding kits to keep that feeling alive allll week long. I used a gorgeous wedding kit for my friend Ashley’s wedding last month so this is definitely a thing for me.

My best tip? Use your happy planner punch to add invites and wedding info directly into your planner. Now it won’t get lost so you know exactly where to go and when to be there. Add a few stickers to the invite if you want… I did this week and I love how it tied the invite into my spread.

I also started filling in the heart checklists this week instead of checking them off… I love it. It looks neat and a little less chaotic so I think I’m going to keep doing it. I am going to try a different color pen next week though… I don’t love the solid black hearts all the way across!

  • iMac Work Icons
  • ETSY foiled Sticker
  • Little Laptop with Rose Gold Foil Heart Accent
  • Little MacBook Sticker
  • Little Camper Sticker
  • Floral YouTube Stickers

Here’s a little bonus for you this week… a behind the scenes picture!! It took me soooo long to figure out what camera I wanted and which tripod would work best for these plan with me videos… I am not a pro by any means so take my advice with a grain of salt but this is what I ended up with!

I grabbed this desk mount tripod off Amazon… there are big, beautiful tripods designed for this type of downward video but I needed something inexpensive that would work with my desk. This ended up being the perfect solution! It clips right onto the spot in my desk that’s designed for cords (if my computer was centered) and the bottom clips on and off so I can attach the base to my desk and leave it forever with minimal in-the-wayness. I’ll just reattach the arm each week to shoot videos!

As for the camera I knew I wanted something that had a flip around screen so I could finally see-what-I-was-doing as I was doing it! Plus I wanted a camera with decent video quality, preferably a canon since I already have a canon rebel xti for photos. I did lots of research and settled on the Canon Powershot SX50 HS… it has all of the features I was looking for, score! Unfortunitely it was also around 500 buckeroos… not score. 500 isn’t a bad price for a decent camera it’s just not in my range at the moment.

So I started stalking craigslist and all the local buy-sell-and-trade pages hoping to find something similiar in a decent price range and hoping that if nothing showed up Santa would come through for Christmas.

Luckily Santa didn’t have to come through… about a week ago the exact camera I wanted showed up on Troy’s BST page! That’s about an hour and a half away but this gal was asking 125 so I figured it was worth the trip. Mom and I went to check it out and it seemed to work just fine… unfortunitely the gal didn’t bring a memory card so we couldn’t be 100% that it worked perfectly but I was confident enough to go ahead. I did talk her down to 100 since we couldn’t check out the memory card situation but all in all… it was a good day and it seems to be working beautifully.

Now I just need an extra battery.

Just a side note: I don’t typically blog about blogging or vlogging so I didn’t want to write a whole post on my equipment but when I was searching for a camera I had a hard time finding out what other people used so I had no measuring stick against what I was looking for. So here’s the info in a way I’m comfortable with. Happy planning!
