Okay y’all I’m here today to talk about a subject near and dear to my heart… Pandora! I have been collecting Pandora beads for the last four years, ever since my hubby gave me a bracelet for Christmas. At the time I was pissed because I realllllly wanted this office chair I know, I know… ungrateful brat that I am I pulled on my big girl panties (bought myself the chair) and actually looked at the bracelet.
I had a charm bracelet for years growing up (it’s completely full now) so this present wasn’t exactly unprecedented and I absolutely adored the little beads. He had bought me two clips, two faceted blue beads (in periwinkle… our wedding colors), the little just married couple, the little first dance wedding couple and the dangly pearl (my birthstone).
The man knows me well.
I started looking through the catalogs and of course wanted all. the. beads. So the hubby was golden, I had a bracelet I loved, a chair I loved, a hubby I loved… and he had a foolproof present for every holiday after that.
Valentines day? Bead. Anniversary? Bead! Birthday? Bead. The man filled up my bracelet and I’m happy as a clam about it… over the last four years I’ve gone from a couple charms to a full bracelet… I’m only a few charms away from finished with the entire circle! Then I’ll have to start on a new one! Of course, different people wear Pandora differently but for me each and every bead has a meaning.
Which is why I was so excited when the new spring line-up was announced!
I mean just look at these beads. I knew right away I wanted the snail, the birdhouse, the teapot and the little clear gem with the ladybug!
Since they’re currently having a sale I headed to my Pandora store asap when the new charms were released on March 15th. I called to make sure they had the ones I wanted and away we went. When we got there I was after the teapot and the snail… those being the most important on my list.
I mean just look at how stunning this snail is! He’s amazing in pictures and honestly even more amazing in person. The cz’s on the body are absolutely beautiful… I only wish the pink eyes were bigger like in the graphics but it’s not a deal breaker for me. You can tell they’re pink in person but they’re small.
This little snail is just so cute! Ever since my hubby passed away my brother has been my rock. My family has been wonderful over all but my brother has sat up with me when I can’t sleep, hung out with me watching tv he doesn’t like, driven me everywhere since I’m just a little terrified of driving these days, listened to me talk for hours, taken me to Pandora twice this week so I could look at beads and generally been awesome.
He loves World of Warcraft and when he saw the snail he said it looked like a raid boss in the game… that it looks big and easy to kill but when you go after it the big snail can kill you in one shot. He said newbies fall for it all the time thinking it will be an easy quest. That’s my brother though… a big softie on the outside but fiercely protective of those he cares about. My little snail is a reminder of how lucky I am to have him and how much he’s done for me these past few months.
Okay… remember how I said I wanted the teapot? Apparently of the nine charms in the collection the teapot is the one charm they didn’t get. The ladybug is top top top of my list but I have plans to get it next week during the Pandora spend more get more sale so I needed to switch out my teapot dreams for another of the new beads (if you spent a certain amount at a Pandora store that doesn’t offer the shine line you received one of four beads free and I REALLY wanted a certain free bead they had.)
So I picked up this little bird house. It’s adorable and I love that it says sweet home on the back… sometime in the next year I’m planning on buying my first house so this bead is for that. I was going to wait to get it but it was the right price point for the sale so I went with it… I’ll just have it a little early.
And then there’s the free bead… remember how I said there was one I really wanted? Well last year on a day I was having a reallllly horrible time with certain things in my life the hubby decided to take me out, get my mind off it. So we went on date night: dinner and a movie. I thought that was it until the hubs steered me into the Pandora store. He picked out these little rose gold interlocking hearts and said they were a symbol of us… that we were interlocked and as long as we had each other we would be fine.
The interlocking hearts became our thing… so much so that I had them put on his headstone. I wanted the little silver interlocking hearts (below) for my bracelet so when I saw that they were on of the four freebies I was determined to get them. The lady at the store was so sweet in helping me get them… especially because the charm is suppose to be random (with a scratch off card) and she helped me pick the right card.
Here’s a picture of the four free beads in case you’re curious… the promotion is going on through March 21st at stores who aren’t carrying the new Shine line. If they are carrying Shine there is a free Shine ring dish you can get if you buy x amount of Shine.
I absolutely love the way my bracelet has turned out, I only have a couple more charms to add and I’ll be completely done! That makes me soooo happy!
Just take a look at all the pretties! Then reply with a picture of your charms… I love to see how others wear them. The best part about Pandora is that everyone who wears one wears it differently. No two are the same and they share the story of the person wearing them.
Okay y’all, here’s a little sneak peek of the charms in action! They are so cute actually on a bracelet… I can’t wait to pick up the rose gold bracelet for them to live on. In the meantime I’ve put them on my new leather bracelet from my Rue La La haul… they are so cute!
I guess this is a little sneak peek of my new Rue La La Pandora beads as well… both blush murano’s, the swan, the rose gold bow and the clear galaxy bead are from Rue La La! Plus both of the leather bracelets (that’s silver and honeysuckle in case you were wondering!) I’ve never been big on multiple bracelets and I definitely won’t wear this many all the time but I love how they look together. I think I’m going to wear the pink one plain (sans charms) since that color is just stunning!
