I have VERY exciting news!!!! My wonderful super fabulous awesome hubby (I’m just a bit biased!) surprised me with a weekend get away for our one year anniversary! The best part? Tickets to see Wicked! Technically our one year anniversary isn’t until May 17th but he knew how much I wanted to see Wicked (and apparently we’re moving in May) so we’re taking the time to celebrate now!
So in honor of our one year wedding anniversary I am starting a new series! It’s called Mr. and Mrs.: The Start of Happily Ever After! All about our wedding! The diy’s, the crafts, the budgets, the BINDER. You’ve seen our housekeeping binder right? Well you haven’t seen it’s older sister the wedding binder… don’t worry I won’t leave you hanging!
Here’s a sneak peak at some of the things we’ll be covering in the series:
The lovely DIY wire wedding dress hanger my bestie and maid-of-honor hand crafted for me!
No wedding is complete without decorations… here are a couple of the bird cages we used to decorate the aisle at the church!
If you’re going to have a fancy schmancy wedding you have to have a fancy schmancy feather pen… plus they are soo pretty!
Guest books are so last season… try a guest globe! Learn how I white-washed this baby and got it ready for signatures!
My mama made this adorable little good luck charm for me to wear on my petticoat! Learn what the charms mean and how to make your very own!
These advice jars were so easy to make and I have LOVED reading all of the newlywed advice! We asked guests to write advice for every stage of our marriage and drop it in the perfect jar… and then every year (or every five years) on our anniversary we open the cards and read the advice! It’s a little way to remember why we got married in the first place… every single year! I currently have all of our Newlywed advice cards on the refrigerator… I suppose I will have to make room for our 1 year advice cards soon!
I wanted place-cards and a seating chart that was a bit more interesting than your typical chart. When I found my rhinestone garland and fleur-de-lit plant holder I knew I had a winner! Plus a shout out has to happen for those adorable place-cards… my girls spent several days cutting out fleur-de-lits and pop-dotting them onto cards! Have to love them!
The only thing cuter than a flower girl and ring-bearer? The surprise sign my maid-of-honor hand painted for my groom!
My Mama, Grand-mama and Aunties spent several days working the assembly line to finish these amazing centerpieces! Learn how they did it… and make them look just like our bridal bouquets! Can you tell which flowers are real and which are fake? I can’t!
My maid-of-honor really out did herself! Although I did have TWO maid-of-honors so maybe I’m just a slave driver… either way I love these girlys! The glittery Thank You banner really made our thank you cards pop… plus it looked adorable on the gift table!
Last but not least is our wedding program… isn’t that frame amazing? I can say that because I had nothing to do with it… maybe my moh’s should be writing this series?!
Make sure to pop back in and see how to make all of these goodies (and more) for yourself! I’m still trying to decide how often this series should run so I’ll leave it up to y’all… my amazing readers!
Should my wedding series run once a month or every other week!? How often would you like to see posts like this one?
Thanks y’all!

I absolutely love your wedding planner printables!! I was wondering if you might have one for the maid of honor to? I know that there’s lots for me to keep track of to and would love to be this organized lol

Hi Rachel, I don’t currently have a planner specifically for the maid of honor… my maid of honor used the same binder I did! What exactly were you looking for? I’d love to put something together for you!
