2014 Year in Review with Happily Ever After, Etc.

2014 Year in Review

Hey y'all

It’s been a long year… but a good one. 🙂 So much happened in 2014 that I would love to share with you! Here’s a look back on all of the highlights.

2014 Year in Review | Happily Ever After Etc

We had 6 wonderful months with Crusier, our 14 year old rescue “puppy”. Our little sassy princess Little Bitt grew another year older… she’s still every bit as sassy though!

My hubby graduated from College with his Associates degree in Medical Assisting! I am sooo very proud of him! Even prouder that he turned right back around and enrolled in another four years of school to become a Registered Nurse. It’s a long road but he’s getting there!

I got my first “big girl” job working for Sherwin Williams! I have been training for a month now and absolutely love it! Selling paint is actually pretty darn cool… plus I get to act as a part time decorator! I love helping gals (and guys) pick colors for their homes, pull together rooms, even paint their entire home!

As you are all well aware in July we rented our first house! It’s been a whirlwind unpacking, decorating and trying to make this big old house our own! We have such a long way to go but the changes we’ve made already are staggering. My hubby turned to me the other day and said “This place is starting to feel like home, I can’t imagine having to pack up and leave one day”. Thanks for coming along for the ride… it’s going to be a long road!

Happily Ever After, Etc. Home Tour

We spent a fabulous week in Las Vegas on our honeymoon! We saw Mama Mia the musical (which my hubby had to be dragged to… and then wanted to watch again the next night! Men!). We saw an amazing Criss Angel Cirque Du Soleil show, an amazingly funny drag queen comedy and our all time favorite… Penn & Teller!

If I haven’t mentioned before our family is completely divided… when it comes to Football. My husband is a complete Broncos fan (what can I say even the perfect man has flaws 😉 ) While I was born and raised cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers! My hubby was a little bit (just a little) excited when he opened his big Christmas present last year… two tickets to a Broncos game in Denver. It was his very first NFL game and that big smile was on his face… the entire night!

This years Christmas was also sports related… when I unwrapped a SIGNED Troy Polamalu jersey! (#43 baby). He’s my absolute favorite player (of all time) and I can’t believe I actually own something he’s touched! Eek!

Of course, as amazing as the year was it all pales in comparison to one very special day. May 17, 2014 I married my best friend and we started our lives together. Here are just a few of my favorite pictures taken by the fabulous Jen Zorn of Platinum Pixs.

Thanks for stopping by y’all, I can’t wait to see what this year holds. A full year with my honey (married!) a full year of blog posts, a full year to work on the house and finish products! It’s going to be a good one… thanks for sticking around y’all!

Hi there! Saw your page through the Blogelina comments. I JUST painted my new office space Grapy – Sherwin Williams 7 thousand something…

Any suggestions for accent colors? I just posted a pic (albeit awful for color quality, but I’m guessing you know the color anyway…) on my Facebook Like Page: http://www.fb.com/everydayfaithandfitness.

I’m SO not a decorator – I obviously need something on the wall behind the desk…

It really depends on what way you want to go, Grapy is a dark, saturated color so something light and sweet would look great and very calming. A light peach like sw 6624 peach blossom or pale green like sw 6448 greening wouls look amazing. Purple and green are such a great color combination, but I always lean more towards the pink family myself! If you’d like more ideas or suggestions on color, decor etc I would love to do an office mood board for you! Hope you’re having a great day and I will definitaly check out your blog tonight!

Looks like you had a wonderful 2014! It was also last year when we decided to really decorate the apartment we’re renting. We’ve been there since 2013 but never really had the motivation to fix things up. Last year, though, we got to work and it’s looking more like home!

We actually already bought one last year! We got a red three-seater for our all-white living room. 😀
