Do you know what my favorite part of blogging is? Meeting all of you lovely readers and bloggers! Especially when you have such sweet things to say! Which is why I just about blushed when Carrie from A Mothers Shadow nominated me for the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award!
I’m telling y’all… I was smiling from ear to ear for the rest of the day!
She’s asked me to answer ten questions and nominate five bloggers for this fabulous award… So here we go!
What was the last thing you said out loud?
When my boss asked what color black and gold make when mixed together… “The Pittsburgh Steelers!”
If you could have personally witnessed anything, what would you have seen?
I know I’m suppose to say something profound but I always wish I could go back in time and see my husband as a child. His favorite moments, his big accomplishments, the quiet moments… I think that would be magical.
Side-note: When I asked my husband this same question he said “The first flight of the first airplane or our puppy Bitty right after she was born.”
Facepalm.
What was your favorite childhood Halloween costume?
My mom made me a purple princess Halloween costume complete with a cone hat and veil that I wore every single year until it didn’t fit anymore. I definitely remember that one but I’ve been told that when I was a really little girl my parents bought me Belle’s gold dress complete with little blue heels. I insisted on wearing it every day of every year (although the shoes always got kicked off super quick and Daddy ended up carrying me). After I outgrew it Mom tried to donate it but Daddy grabbed it and put it in his closet… It’s lived there ever since.
What would your autobiography be called?
Etc. But it has to be printed on black leather in pink embossed metallic glittery letters. Also it would be a 20 book series… I’m long winded.
In your opinion, what’s the best invention ever?
Really BIG bathtubs!!
What story does your family always tell about you?
When I was a little girl and just learning to talk I couldn’t pronounce the name “Betsy”… so I started calling myself “Me’s”. Everything was “Me’s this and Me’s that”. If I was leaving the room I would say “Me’s” be back” and then when I was back “Me’s back”. I’m not sure when I stopped but from the story it sounds like I did this for quite a while!
What food would you never eat unless someone paid you (and maybe not even then?)
This is a funny question for me because I am a super picky eater! My boss often asks me how I stay alive with the amount of foods I DON’T eat and my coworkers have made a game out of asking me which foods I do and don’t eat. The point is I don’t LIKE most of these foods but I can eat them if I need to. My mama did teach me to be polite.
But the two things I absolutely do not eat for any reason? Not even if they paid me a million dollars? Eggs and mustard. I just can’t stand them! I can’t even stand the smell of eggs… I have to sit far away from anyone eating them for fear of gagging, bleh!
What’s your favorite adaptation of a book to a movie?
Harry Potter…. Duh.
Recite the first thing that comes to mind that you have memorized: quote, verse, poem, song lyrics, or something else.
Probably because of the previous question… Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on the light – Albus Dumbledore.
What’s the best thing about your mom? Your dad? Give a shout-out to the people who gave you life.
My mom is always there for me. She has taught me everything I need to know in life and it’s thanks to her I am the strong-willed, highly creative, intelligent, loveable 😉 , woman I am today.
My daddy is a stubborn man but one of the things he is most stubborn in is his love and pride for me. He has always taught me to take pride in myself, boosting my self-esteem when I was feeling insecure and wiping my tears when I let the world get the best of me.
The 5 Fabulous Bloggers who I would love to nominate are:
Emily from Table and Hearth
Linda from Q is for Quandie
Charlene from Thinking Outside the Pot
The sister duo Wren and Finch from Finchnwren
Ellen from Create in the Chaos

Aww thanks so much Betsy! So excited 🙂 And I love your answers, particularly the autobiography one, haha (I can picture it!).
Happily Ever After, Etc. says
You are very welcome Ellen! I’m glad you like my answers, haha! I have a love for shinny things so I would have to have a bit of sparkle on my own autobiography! Can’t wait to read your answers!
