Today was a fun day… I spent a little time at my local thrift store shopping for the spring Thrift Store Swap!!! We’ve been busy for a while so it’s fun to get back to crafting with my friends! This is our fifth swap and I can’t wait to see what each of these ladies does with their thrifted treasures.
I’m so excited!
Before we dive right in let’s do a quick refresh on how the swap works… each blogger buys 2 thrift store items for under $10 dollars and sends them to the next blogger in the chain! It’s one big circle with 11 bloggers and 22 awesome thrift store transformations!
This particular shopping trip was so much fun… I even tricked the hubby into coming with me! We spent a few hours walking around the local stores and we found so many interesting pieces.
The hardest part of shopping for the Thrift Store Swap is not bringing home a million things for myself!
Take a look…
Seriously though… how creepy is that fox? I’m calling it a fox… I’m not sure exactly what it is. A cat maybe? Either way it weirded me out!
Of course, I’m keeping the items I actually selected a secret but you’ll see them in March… when my new friend Suzanne gives them a little makeover on her blog Shop at Blu.
If you just can’t wait until the posts are live then go ahead and check out a couple of her projects… like this adorable rolltop desk makeover or her list of awesome DIY tools!

Pretty cool finds Betsy, I’m eyeballing that ammo box on the background. Wouldn’t that make a super cool Bluetooth speaker box for camping? Can’t wait for the reveals!

That ammo box was one of the things that almost came home with me! It looked sooo cool, I never thought about a bluetooth speaker for camping (of course I don’t go camping that often 😉 ) but that would be an amazing transformation. Great idea!

I love rummaging around thrift shops (we call them charity shops in the UK). Is the thrift shop open only to US bloggers? Sounds fun! 🙂
