It’s time for another Plan With Me in my Happy Planner! I absolutely love planning… it keeps me organized and (for the most part) on track. Of course, I love using sticker kits, Mambi sticker books and Etsy stickers but for the last few months I’ve been using sticker kits but today we’re going back to basics with Mambi sticker books.
I love the decorative sticker boxes and the newer books have so much rose gold! I’m a sucker for anything with rose gold so I definitely snapped these up when they hit the market. I love using them in my travelers notebooks but I wanted to bring them back out for a weekly planner spread.
Here are a few tips for working with Mambi Sticker Books:
Use a Common Element to Tie It All Together
The easiest way to tie together two different sticker books and countless Etsy stickers? Use a common element! I tend to go for rose gold (because I’m obsessed with it!) but any color would work: silver, purple, gold, green, blush even rose gold. *wink wink*
While the sticker books are brilliant because they give you a coordinating pallet (literally everything from cover to cover goes together!) I love having plenty of rose gold icons to pick from. By picking one element when you’re ordering stickers you have so many to choose from! I mean take a look…
Stickers I used in this spread:
- MAMBI Sticker Books
- Heart Shaped Icons with Rose Gold Foil
- TV Foiled Quarter Boxes
- Small Rose Gold Hearts
- Cleaning Icon
- Rose Gold Bow Paperclips
- Pink and Rose Gold Icons: Book, Credit Card, Computer, Phone
- Rose Gold Bow Quarter Boxes
- “My Favorite Things” Foiled Stickers: planning time, happy mail, package etc.
- “Functional Icons” Birthday, Grocery etc
- Foiled Social Media Icons
- Doctor Appointment Icons
- iMac Work Icons
- Floral YouTube Stickers

Place your Decorative Boxes First
Mambi boxes come in different sizes… some fill the entire box, some fill half of the box, some are only quarter boxes! This week I placed both long boxes on the left side of the week and the two short boxes on the right before I realized that I was out of long boxes!
I should have mixed them up with a long and short on either side. I was able to add a combination of long skinny boxes to the right side to balance everything out but keeping size in mind will help the entire spread to be balanced!
Use Stickers and Washi to Fix Strange Colors
My planner has different colors between the boxes, at the bottom of the pages and in the side bar. 3 out 4 months I love the colors and the coordinate just fine with my spreads… but that fourth month the color is yellow. Yellow doesn’t exactly work with the blush and rose gold I’m using this week.
Instead a bit of white out covers the yellow and then you can use a bit of washi to tie it all together. Of course, skinny washi is perfect for the smaller spaces but larger washi can take up a bit of space depending on whether you’re having a busy week or a slower week. Score!
You can add washi all the way across the page on all three layers but I like to break up the lines with stickers. Just make sure to add your white out first otherwise you’ll have to white out right next to your stickers and that can be tricky!
