Do you remember several weeks ago when we went to the Chapel Market? Well the thing to remember is that the market takes place in a little place called The Waters which is a picturesque community complete with wide front porches, a sidewalk on every street and a sense of Mayberry. While I was lucky enough to visit the Chapel Market last year we were short on time, which means we weren’t able to drive around the little neighborhood and truly soak in the sights. This year we had a gorgeous fall day and plenty of time to spare! Not only were were we able to drive around but we even crashed went to a few open houses!
Our favorite open house was (of course) the model home, not only was it fully furnished (so that we were able to see all the pretty fixings) but the finishings were exactly what we would have chosen (in an ideal world!). This house had all the bells and whistles… paneling on the walls, gorgeous ceilings, built-ins, lake-side views, and gorgeous furniture. If it was in our budget I think we would have already moved in! Of course it isn’t 100% us me, and would look so much cuter with our furniture in place (don’t worry I’m not biased at all!) but it sure was scrumptious!
The entire house is deceiving… it’s much bigger than it looks on the outside! Four bedrooms and three baths! You walk through the front door directly into the living room with the dining room, kitchen combination directly to the left. Behind all of this is the fourth bedroom, it’s currently set up to receive guests but with all that light and the proximity to the hustle and bustle (I don’t like to be isolated) it would be a perfect office! Unfortunately I forgot to take photos so y’all will just have to close your eyes and imagine! There’s also the cutest laundry room a girl ever did see… and here I definitely am biased! I never did understand it but the laundry room is usually my favorite room in the house, not that I like doing laundry mind you but I love walking into a well organized laundry room and just saying “wow, now this is a room I could do laundry in!” . This laundry room was fairly small but it had a big gorgeous window… natural light makes everyone feel happy, right?
The kitchen itself was an absolute stunner, plenty of cabinet space, gorgeous built-ins, even a built-in bench for the dining room table… and can you imagine the windows, yes they’re a pain in the patooty to clean but the views would make it all worth while! Just look at the smile on the hubbster’s face… you can just feel his level of excitement here.
Upstairs there were two kids rooms, decorated appropriately for a boy and a girl. I loved the sunny yellow color palette in the gals room and the bunk beds in the boys room were pretty cool. Not to mention the boys closet was just big enough for hubby to share! You know I’m taking the entire master closet right?
Of course the porch was perfect, cold drinks and a gentle breeze. I can picture Bitty running around on the grass while we sit on the porch! Plus, did I mention the beautiful bead board bookshelves in the upstairs hallway? They’re a decorators dream! So much space!
I will leave you with this amazing picture of the hubby trying out the master shower. He’s a keeper alright!
