Found it at the Antique Store

Hey y'all

So do you remember a couple of weeks ago when we hit TJMaxx for a fun little shopping trip? We actually had enough time to hit this cute little antique store too! I love hitting antique stores with my hubby because he makes it so much fun! Really he’s just a big kid… I have to chase him around the store yelling “don’t touch that! don’t play with that!” but he lets me buy things so… it’s alright ;).

I have had a weird obsession with little trucks and cars… this blue train car was calling my name! My daddy and grandaddy always had model trains, they taught me all about them growing up. I still love working on the train set with daddy so I really liked this piece!

I love to find cute buckets or bins… especially blue ones! The blue patina on this Kentucky bucket was amazing… and just think how cute this little aqua card catalog would be all cleaned up!

Apparently this was hat day… I never did get the memo. Trevor tried on almost every hat in the store. The half he didn’t try on personally he put on me.

This little blue and pink wagon was the only thing that came home with me… I’m not sure why but I just loved it! On the other hand… keys! Lots and lots of antique keys!

One thing I love about my hubby is that when I yell out ” hey honey come pose with this poster!”… he comes running over to strike a pose! I have my very own Magic Mike ladies and gentlemen! (Luckily he kept his clothes on in public! You’re welcome!)

Such great finds! I have never been antiquing but I have always wanted to go. I decided that our next house (when ever that may be) will not be decorated in one big swoop rather I am going to take my time to find perfect pieces for each room.

You’ve never been antiquing! What are you waiting for?!?! My mama taught me how to antique when I was a little girl… I love it! No road trip is complete without at least one stop at an antique store! My mama and I once drove from Alabama to Colorado with a u-haul… it wasn’t for shopping but let’s just say the u-haul was only half full when we left and packed solid when we got home! You’ll have to try it! Finding the perfect piece for each spot takes a minute longer then decorating in one fell swoop but then your home is filled with YOUR things. The bed you bought that one time in with your mom, or the couch your hubby found… little memories everywhere you look!

He is a GREAT sport! His grandma taught him well! She use to take him antiquing when he was little so he actually enjoys it quite a bit. The cars and trucks are a new weakness… I bought a hot pink pickup once and the rest was history!

So much fun! I love the hat pictures too. I’ve never been that great at antiquing, I just don’t have the patience to sort through things, but you find some pretty cool things. Magic Mike for the win! 😉
