This months theme was Pure Colors, Original Elegance and you can see all of the projects over on either Carrie or Stacy’s blog! It’s so much fun to scroll through all of the projects!
This month I decided to run with the elegant theme and finally paint the little side table in my living room. I’ve had this little table for several years now and it was my mom’s before me… she was very generous when I moved into my first apartment with all of her leftovers!
Either way this little table has made several moves with me and I love it for the elegant lines and cute little feet. Anything with scrolls and whirls is right up my ally! I just couldn’t decide what color to paint it… so I put it off.
Plus Mom kept telling me she didn’t want it painted so that held me back just a little bit. Finally I decided that this little table lives in my living room so I should love it! I decided to paint it with two coats of evening shadow which is a gorgeous light grey color!
Once I picked my color the rest was history… it only took an hour or so to do the first coat and the second coat went on smoothly an hour or so later!
I am absolutely loving it! It’s the same gorgeous turned leg table but with a new life! I love how it turned out… even the hubby said it turned out pretty good! That’s a pretty high compliment coming from him!
