Well the word is finally out, I’m putting a pegboard in the Craft Room! Pegboards are such a great way to add storage…. and as an added bonus they’re absolutely adorable. The best part is that while I was doing research for my pegboard I found more inspiration then I’ll ever need (31 Pegboard Ideas for Your Craft Room to be exact)! So I’m sharing it with you.
I’ve put together thirty-one Pinterest spectacular pegboards from my search on . I know there were way to many ideas for one pegboard so hopefully you’ll be able to find a few ideas for your pegboard too!
I feel like this is where a speech about pegboard world domination should go but that’s not really the point of this post so let’s just get to the pretty pictures.
If you like a pegboard click on the image to be taken to the original post for even more info!
Use a drying rack for anything on a spool!
I love how many spools of ribbon and thread were smooshed into this one little pegboard with the use of drying racks! Think of all the amazing things you could store on a drying rack… there has to be a million uses for this bad boy.
Use color to separate your space!
There are a couple really amazing colored pegboards in this little round-up but this one is just so graphic! I love the possibilities. You could put specific items in each section: craft supplies in one stripe, tools in another, etc.
Of course, if you’re using your pegboard for one purpose in one room then a pop of color might be just what the doctor ordered. There’s a killer blue pegboard further down in the round up that will show you just what contrast can do for a space!
Use baskets to corral small items.
If you were wondering this is the blue pegboard I was talking about earlier! It’s kind of amazing. On top of the amazing color I love how she used hanging baskets to round-up all her little items like paint bottles and pens.
Not everything will hang on a hook but adding a basket or two will give you even more options.
One word: Shelves.
Hooks? Baskets? Shelves? You can literally put anything on a pegboard these days! The best part about shelves is that you can add small decorative pieces like clocks or plants.
Of course, I would just clutter up the shelf with more useless knick-knacks so know your strengths.
On a completely different note the deer head on this next pegboard is my spirit animal. The Chandelier is pretty awesome too.
Use Clipboards to hang papers or Free Printabls!
I alllllllmost picked up a clipboard to add to my pegboard. I am kind of obsessed with free printables so this would be the perfect place to rotate out artwork. I’m looking for the perfect clipboard though so at the moment it’s not on my list.
I’ll know it when I see it!
Of course, clipboards would also be a great place to organize paperwork if you have several projects to keep track of!
Use a frame & wooden dowel to display supplies!
I kind of love the bold pop of hot pink on this little guy… of course the best part is that you can add a small punch of functionality to just about any space. You can find space in just about any room for one picture frame. Although I think this one would be particularly cute in a little girls room.
Need another idea for picture frames? Take a look at the next pegboard… with a few cup hooks and wooden dowels you can add rolls of vinyl (or wrapping paper!! How awesome is that?
