We’re Moving! A sneak peek at the new house and a New House Mood Board!

Life has been a little crazy for the last few weeks… not only have I been working on learning how to shoot videos for my new video series we also finalized our plans to move! We’ve been talking about it for a few months now but nothing concrete… and we still have quite a bit to finalize. BUT it’s officially official. I’ve even got a new house mood board to prove it.

Officially.

So I will share the details with you as they come but for now all I know is that we are moving home in the month of October. Which leaves us a little time to pack up the entire house and get a move on. I tend to leave moving to the last second though… because let’s face it. I hate packing and I really hate change. Even if it’s good change!

Which this is! I love our little house but it’s a rental… we were never planning to stay here longer than a year or two. We’ve worked our way through every single room in the house and they’re all done… it’s time for a new project? Right? Right!

Yes… I’m still trying to talk myself into this.

So, here’s the details… we’re moving home for at least two years to fix up my cousin’s house. It’s a good opportunity for us to work on a big project and help a family member out. There’s lots of other details behind that decision but basically it’s a good situation for all involved.

This house is the biggest project the hubby and I have ever tackled but when it’s done… it’s going to be a real Cinderella story. I’ll say that much! I snapped a couple pictures last week so y’all can see for yourselves… and then check out the very bottom for the inspiration board. I can’t wait to see this house transform… and of course I’ll share every single step with y’all.

I know… it needs some love. It’s going to be gorgeous when it’s done though!!! If you’ve made it this far you deserve to sooth your eyes with a few pretty pictures… so I’ll just leave the mood board that I worked up for my cousin below.

Keep in mind that this is literally an inspiration board… things will probably change (dramatically) as we get started. My cousin also has completely different tastes than I do so while I’ll be factoring in my style in the accessories and furniture we’ll be trying to keep the walls and all completely neutral so that they’ll work for his style as well.

I know… a big challenge!
