Welcome back for another fun rendition of Man Behind the Blog! I absolutely loved our double dose of trouble in May so I decided to wait and have the hubster answer both June and July’s questions in one shot as well!
Double trouble, y’all!
If you haven’t read a Man Behind the Blog post before this is how it works… every month Betsy (my name twin) posts 5 fabulous questions for the guys to answer. We get our guys to answer her questions and then we head over to her blog to link-up! The best part? After hearing my hubby’s answer’s you can head over and see what all the other guys have to say! The link-up over at Heavens to Betsy happens the last Thursday of every month… so grab your guy and meet us there! I can’t wait to read all the answers!
What is your all time favorite food?
Definitely pizza, well to be more specific my all time favorite is Italian. I absolutely love Old Chicago, they have the best freaking food there!
Who is the cook between you and your significant other?
Me! I am definitely the cook… not that my wife can’t cook. I just enjoy it more so she let’s me do it. She makes a broccoli chicken ring that is really good but I do pretty much every thing else!
What is the weirdest thing you have ever eaten?
Hum, the weirdest thing I’ve ever eaten? We made a fruit pizza a couple months ago… it was kind of weird. I wasn’t sure it was going to work when Betsy suggested it… I don’t know it just seemed like it wouldn’t mesh very well. It worked out though… it was really good!
Are there any foods that you absolutely detest?
Yes, I cannot stand olives. I’ve never liked them, they taste gross and have weird pits. They don’t even make salads taste any better. My wife loves the black olives though so there’s that.
What is your favorite local, little-known, or hole in the wall place to eat?
I don’t remember what it’s called anymore but there’s this place in Denver that does really good breakfast foods. Specifically an amazing huge breakfast burito with all kinds of stuff put into it and salsa over the top. It is heaven in your mouth let me tell you!
What is the best vacation you have ever been on?
The best vacation I’ve ever been on was our honeymoon… we got to go to Vegas and I experienced my first broadway show. Plus we got to go to a bunch of magic shows and the lights of the city were awesome. I liked walking with you and it was just really awesome.
If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would you go?
Ummm… I really want to go to Greece. I’m a big mythology buff so I really want to see Athens and the Parthenon. I want to see all the old places where so many things began.
Are there any summer traditions that you have or would like to start? (think things like big picnics, summer activities, bonfires, or day trips for example)
We use to go camping in the summer when I was a kid… I wouldn’t mind going camping again. Or canoeing, I like canoeing. We use to go where the water was really clear and you could see clear down to the bottom… jumping in to swim was the best time.
The 4th of July was just here – what is a must-have picnic or BBQ food for you?
Baked beans and some hot dogs and hamburgers… maybe even so far as some steak or pork ribs! Now I’m hungry.
Think of your ideal vacation. Are you in a cozy cabin, camping in a tent or hanging in a hotel?
Ummm probably hanging in a hotel. I know that’s not as rustic as the other two but with what I enjoy doing I think we’d be more comfortable in a hotel.
