I’ve got a special treat for you today… literally! 😉 Remember my sweet little recipe box from yesterday… well we’re trying it out today with a fun new fruit pizza recipe! I know it’s typically all home decor and crafts around here but we’re making a special exception today to try out this new recipe!
You asked for a recipe from inside the box and I just had to deliver!
On Thanksgiving day Mom and I were chatting while we cooked and I told her I needed a fun recipe for an upcoming party… since the hubby and I are young we don’t have too many of those in our back pocket! Luckily Mom has plenty of ideas! She suggested we head to Publix and grab a bag of Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix and make a yummy fruit pizza!
It sounded quick and easy so I figured we’d give it a try.
Here’s the basic recipe (and I’m talking basic y’all!)
Step one: Make a giant sugar cookie!
Step two: Spread one package of cream cheese over the top of the cookie (Mom said she’s heard of recipes where sugar is added to the cream cheese but that she’s never needed it… so we left that part out!)
Step three: Slice your fruit and arrange it on top of your fruit pizza… since fruit isn’t in season right now there weren’t many options. We chose strawberry’s and blueberry’s for this pizza… although Mom suggested peaches or raspberry’s for the next one!
Step four: Drizzle a strawberry glaze on top of your pizza… We found strawberry glaze in the pie section (it is holiday season after all!) although Mom said a strawberry jam glaze works well drizzled as well!
Maybe I should have had Mom write this post… it seems like most of it is her advice anyways! 😉
So far it looks absolutely delicious… and I’ve always wanted to make a giant cookie so this recipe was the perfect excuse to try it out! I’m not a big cook so this quick easy recipe is perfect for my recipe box… I’ll definitely be making it in the future!
The best part? I have super cute Ziploc holiday boxes to bring the leftover’s to work… my coworkers are going to love this!

I can’t choose just one. I like all of the recipes ending in “cookie” pretty much. I think the Holiday Brownie Trees are pretty tasty looking too!
