Break out the party hats because it’s my One-Year Blogiversary! Last Saturday marked a whole year (that’s 365 days!) since I first pressed publish on this little blog. Sometimes I still can’t believe how much has happened in a single year… I’ve met so many awesome bloggers and been able to participate in amazing challenges! Things like the Thrift Store Swap have been so much fun (hello, who doesn’t like shopping at thrift stores and re-purposing things with friends? Is that even a question!) and the second installment is only a week away!
If you haven’t noticed things look a little different around here… in honor of being a whole year old I decided to treat myself to a new theme! And in true birthday fashion I stayed up until four am partying the night away *cough cough* that is if you think of writing code and adjusting widgets as a party! Either way I think the new layout is pretty snazzy! I’m still making a few tweeks and changes (I never could leave well enough alone!) but I think we’re 95% done! Woot woot! It’s always interesting (to me 😉 ) to see which posts do well… I wrote Present Ideas for your Man… How to go Completely Overboard on a whim! Literally my hubby decided to take a nap and I thought “well this would be a good time to look up birthday presents!” I found so many good ideas I just had to share them with all of y’all… and looking back that little spontaneous post has been viewed 10 times more than any other post on my site! Isn’t that crazy!?
I can’t wait to see where this next year takes me… once I finish with this spring cleaning! (Who knew updating posts would take so long? New pinterest images, SEO, affiliate links… it’s taking forever! …. Maybe I can train my hubby to be my virtual assistant! 😉 Nope all my Pinterest images would be of the Broncos!) Every day I get closer to finished… and then I think of another killer idea! C’est la vie!
In the next month I hope to add a new weekly post… featuring 10 awesome ideas from each weeks Welcome Home Wednesday Link Party! I see so many amazing ideas each week… and I want to share the best ones with each of you!
Also in the works is a new DIY Monthly Challenge… we’re still flushing out the details so I don’t have too much to share but it’s going to be epic! A few of my best blog gals are on board… and it’s going to be interactive so all of y’all can join in the fun too! Now I just need a killer name…
