It’s already the end of February?! Where did the time go? I’ve been waiting all month for March since I’m going on vacay with the fam! I can’t wait to spend a week relaxing in the lazy river, shopping the local thrift stores with Mom and working on the blog in the evenings… because that’s my version of the perfect vacation.
Of course, March isn’t going to be all fun and games. We are this close to being finished with the kitchen makeover… I can’t wait to share it with all of you! The best part? I can’t seem to leave well enough alone. So instead of working on one room at a time I’m joining a little room makeover challenge.
It’s a group of amazing bloggers who are focusing on making over one specific room in the month of March! We’ll each makeover one room for under $100 showing that a little bit of moola can go a long way and you don’t need a designer or a magazine worthy layout to improve a room in your home.
I’ll be tackling our craft room so that I can finally start using my new cricut machine and start scrapbooking in my new space! Not to mention being able to spread out each week with my new Happy Planner addiction.
In the meantime let’s look back over the best posts of February, I can’t wait!

Get Your Free 22 Page New Home Registry
This May my hubby and I will celebrate our third year of marriage so we’re still newlyweds in many ways, still learning to navigate the land of the in-laws, learning how to speak the other persons love language… all the fun little things you learn while living life day to day with another person.
Of course, the one thing we didn’t have to learn was how to put a home together. Growing up as a military brat I’ve seen how it’s done a million times… my mom is literally the expert on moving. So I put together a little present for you… a list of every thing you’ll need to make your new house a home.
8 Light & Bright Makeover’s for Your Home
This week I found 8 amazing light and bright makeover’s for your home: fun crates you can build, amazing furniture transformations you can paint, functional folding tables you can build for your laundry room… the whole nine yards!
13 Best Neutral Paint Colors of 2016
Last year I spent a couple hours predicting the the most popular neutrals for 2016 based on the best selling colors of 2015! I know… smart right? We’ll predict where we’re going to by analyzing where we’ve been.
With that in mind I’ve rounded up our 13 most sold neutral colors from the good old Sherwin Williams to see where the trends are taking us! Last year was A LOT of gray and a little beige, according to the polls (the interweb, customers and sw itself) the new year will bring even more Taupe and Greige then ever before.
How to Hide a Litter Box
This week I was on a cleaning binge I broke out the spray and we worked on just about every room! The kitchen is painted (and clean), the bookshelves for the craft room are built (and clean), the bathroom is put together (and clean) and the living room is coming together (and clean!).
See the pattern?
When I was scrubbing the bathroom floor I decided I had enough of the stinky litter box out in the open for everyone to see. Enough is enough. So I grabbed a screwdriver and took the third door off the cabinet! Of course that gets the litter box off the floor but it doesn’t exactly hide the thing.
What is a Cricut… & What Can I do with it?
13 Decor Projects for Your Home!
My favorite part of the week is definitely sitting down and going through all of the pretty pictures!
Especially since Christmas when I finally bought my new Laptop… now I can lay on the couch with my puppy at my feet and my kitty by my side looking through all of your projects. It gives me a nice break from sitting at my computer night after night.
It’s such a nice break!
So let’s get started… make sure to look all the way down this week. I love all of the project but this week there is a sweet little girls bedroom makeover that is to die for!
Oh! And a DIY Netflix and Chill Pillow!
Check it out!
Shopping for the Spring Thrift Store Swap!
Today was a fun day… I spent a little time at my local thrift store shopping for the spring Thrift Store Swap!!! We’ve been busy for a while so it’s fun to get back to crafting with my friends! This is our fifth swap and I can’t wait to see what each of these ladies does with their thrifted treasures.
I’m so excited!
This particular shopping trip was so much fun… I even tricked the hubby into coming with me! We spent a few hours walking around the local stores and we found so many interesting pieces.
The hardest part of shopping for the Thrift Store Swap is not bringing home a million things for myself!
7 Easy DIY’s to Organize your Home
Well y’all another week another group of fabulous projects from the weekly Welcome Home Wednesday Link Party! I don’t know about y’all but I absolutely adore a good DIY project.
Of course, it’s even better if that project has both form and function… which is why I was so pleased to find that this weeks party had quite a few really great projects to help you organize your home. The best part? If you look about half way down this post you’ll see a fabulous playroom makeover that will just about take your breath away.
2017 Color of the Year – 6 Examples of Poised Taupe
Last year I shared how much I absolutely adore all things blush… and you all know how much I love gray. It’s kind of the perfect paint color (especially sherwin williams light french gray… it’s kind of my jam)… but this year poised taupe is where it’s at.
With the downfall of beige in the last few years everyone has been falling in love with gray… it was everyone’s favorite new neutral. Don’t get me wrong gray is still hugely popular (heck it’s one of the main colors in my new kitchen makeover) but where do all of the beige lovers go?
To taupe! They migrate from beige to it’s slightly grayer cousin taupe. It’s the perfect mix of beige and gray… not a true beige but warmer than gray. It’s a gorgeous color and this year it’s Sherwin Williams Color of the Year.
How to Accessorize your Nightstand
After a little bit of work our bedroom is this close to being finished! The last piece of the puzzle will be adding something over the bed… but I’m still figuring that out!
In the meantime we’ve hung the curtains, added artwork to the walls, brought in new lamps to our bedside tables and today we’re accessorizing the nightstands!
