The weather is becoming overbearingly warm here in Alabama and we’ve had to mow the grass every week for the past month. Which all adds up to summertime y’all… it’s officially summertime! Which makes working in the garden the perfect weekend activity… so I though we’d look at a few projects for the garden!
The best part? Each and every one of these fun garden projects is from last weeks Welcome Home Wednesdays Linky Party! Which means these are fun projects made by actual people… which are my favorite kind of projects.
I mean just look at this DIY banner flag! It’s a mason jar… which is kind of like my spirit animal. Spirit symbol? Can an inanimate object be your mascot? Either way mason jars are totally my jam… along with every other girl on Pinterest so I’m pretty sure I’m not alone in wanting to whip this little guy up!

These little wind-chimes are kind of the cutest project ever. I remember being a little girl and visiting my Nana’s house… she was an avid gardener and had the prettiest garden. She also had stacks and stacks of terracotta pots out back. Some had plants in them but most of them were empty… I’m not sure what she had them for. I’m guessing they were back-up for potting new plants but who knows! I always wondered what else we could do with them and this little guy would have been perfect.
Now these little toadstool plant markers would be a cute little project to whip up with the kiddos. They remind me of playing Mario for some reason… maybe the little mushroom toadstools in the game? Who knows!
Now this little project is nothing new… I’ve seen strainer hanging baskets before but this one is so pretty! I love the way she’s arranged the plants! I may need a few of them for our porch.
This little American flag pallet is kind of adorable! It looks fairly easy to make so you could make one this weekend! Especially if you substituted free paint paddles for the wood… how cute would that be?
Ever since last Christmas when I received my Cricut I’ve been obsessed with making signs. This little Garden sign would be so cute to make! Of course, I always love a good welcome sign… they’re so cozy!
Chandelier. Outside. Over a gorgeous farmhouse table. I don’t think this one needs much explanation… it’s genius!
Now this little project is kind of the bomb… fixing up outdoor cushions! Mine are in desperate need of a little tender love and care so I’m taking all of her tips and definitely putting them to use!
Which project are you tackling this weekend?
