Every once in a while you need a good shopping day… even if you can’t buy anything! Window shopping is shopping too! (Not as much fun as the spendmoneytillyoudrop kind of shopping but hey a girls got to do what a girls got to do!) Sometimes you just have to get out of the house! So last weekend my honey and I headed into town to hit a couple shops… and of course I couldn’t go shopping without my best gals! Here’s what we found this week:
A teeny tiny little turtle bowl! This little guy was so sweet! I was tempted to buy it for my little brother because his favorite animal is the turtle and he has quite the collection of all things “Turtle” but it looks like a jewelry bowl… so I didn’t know what he’d do with it.
This little elephant was so cute! Ever since we decided on an elephant theme for a baby boy nursery (no we are not pregnant… nor having kids anytime soon! Just thought elephants were adorable!) I have been tempted to buy every elephant I see! I resist though because… there’s no need to buy baby stuff when there is no baby! Haha! With my luck I would buy elephants and have all girls… no elephants needed!
I never can resist the journal section… I love all the pretty books and bindings!
Normally my hubby is quite happy to hit the shops with me… he’s a catch I tell you! But this time TJMaxx was hot enough that I was getting uncomfortable… and I’m the girl who wears a jacket to work everyday in the south because I’m perpetually cold! It was hot y’all! About halfway through the store I turn around to find him making this face… yup he was not having fun!
Of course he followed the “why are we still here it’s so hot” face up with a “why are you taking a picture of my ‘why are we still here it’s so hot face’ you strange woman” face! Luckily I didn’t care because I spotted these boxes! I love the silver/mirrored/pattern thing they have going on!
I always love the little dog toys at TJMaxx! They have the cutest puppy sized toys… which means they are just big enough for my little Yorkie girl to tote around with her! She is building up quite the menagerie though… she might be a bit spoiled! Unfortunately at only 2.99 it’s hard to resist these little squeaky toys… she loves them so much!
The only thing I actually bought was this picture frame… I love the mirrored blue reflective surface! I have one with the same type of surface in my office… and it’s easily one of my favorite picture frames! So this one was a must have! I also bought a little thing called a hallway runner… that’s right I finally found my rug! If you caught our spring home tour you already saw it! If you didn’t catch the spring home tour now’s a great time! *hint hint*
Of course if you’ve been here a while you’ve probably been shopping with me before… just a time or two! Do you like my little shopping jaunts? I know I love having you with me!
