Can you believe it’s already January… 2016? I can’t! December went by so stinkin’ fast! It seemed like I blinked and the month was over… now we’re into January and the list of projects has taken over my life!
Seriously there is so much to do!
Mom and I have already tackled new slipcovers for my kitchen chairs, the guest room furniture has been delivered and the hubster has sanded and painted a gorgeous cabinet for our craft room!
I have oodles of projects left but I feel like we’ve already made huge strides in checking things off the old to-do list… get ready for a whole slew of room reveals! I’m tired of the house looking like a war zone… and things are finally shaping up around here!
I am so excited!
Of course before we share all the fun going on around here I want to take a look back the at December Round-Up!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! I can’t believe that Thanksgiving has come and gone… tomorrow is the first day of December! You know what that means… Christmas Decorating, Christmas Carols and sending out your favorite annual Christmas Cards!
This will be the hubby’s and my second year as Mr. and Mrs. and therefore our second family Christmas Card! Last year we bought super cute cards with our wedding photos on them. They were absolutely adorable but this year photo cards just aren’t in the budget.
So I’m getting a jump on my cards early this year… and I’m keeping the cost down by using Washi Tape! That’s right Washi Christmas Cards!

DIY Christmas Glitter House… Thrift Store Swap 3!
I’ve never been into Gingerbread houses… I’m not sure if it’s the hours of preparation or the short shelf life. Maybe I just don’t like gingerbread… either way I’ve never been a fan! Glitter on the other hand… glitter I am a fan of! So when I started to see these little glitter houses pop up I knew that I had to have one!

Christmas Dining Room with At Home
I remember my very first At Home shopping experience… it was the week before I moved to Alabama. They had just built a brand new store and I had driven by the “coming soon” sign for months… they opened just in time for one visit before I made the big cross country move. I walked through the doors and my jaw hit the floor… it felt like paradise.

What Happens When your Screen Cracks!
I don’t know about y’all but I am just a little bit hard on my phones… ok so it’s more than a teeny bit! On the upside I haven’t flushed a phone in a while… not bringing my phone in the bathroom is really helping!
The latest escapade happened on my way into Perfectly Imperfect in Troy… I was getting out of the car and my phone just fell to the pavement. You could literally hear all the tiny screen cracks!

Mini Scrapbook In a Cookie Tin!
A couple of years ago I needed an inexpensive way to make presents for everyone on my Christmas list. I love to scrapbook but big scrapbooks (the 12 x 12) kind are not exactly budget friendly. Cookie tins on the other hand… cookie tins are inexpensive and come in cute patterns!
I picked up a couple for a dollar or two a pop and grabbed a few scrapbook supplies from the dollar bins! I picked up two packs of paper, a package of chipboard embellishments and a pack of stickers. I picked supplies that were all from the same line so that they would easily coordinate and by the end of the day I had spent $10 to $15 dollars for presents! That’s not bad when your list has 10 people!

The Christmas Stockings were Hung by the Chimney with Care
This year will be the hubby and my second Christmas as a married couple! We’re still figuring out which family to visit and how to merge Christmas decorations (he likes a traditional red and green theme while I have a small bedroom filled with blue and silver decor!) so Christmas as a married couple is still fairly new for us. Most of my decor merges just fine from a single gal household to a family of two… but I’m having trouble finding one thing. Christmas stockings! I can’t seem to find a set I truly love… and if I do find a set it’s too darn expensive!

Christmas Home Tour 2015
It’s been a long month and with Christmas only 7 days away we finally finished decorating the house for the Holidays! Don’t get me wrong… the boxes have been sitting in the middle of our living room for weeks now… we just haven’t had a chance to put all the pretty sparkly decorations up!
We spent several hours this week taking everything out of the boxes and getting it set up! I absolutely love having my Christmas decorations all around me. Plus our living room at the new house is long and skinny… so my desk is behind the couch! Which means I get to enjoy the Christmas tree while I work!

Holiday Traditions: A Frosty Friend Christmas
Ever since I was a little girl I absolutely adored Christmas. The twinkling lights, the fancy trees… the entire Christmas atmosphere. One of my favorite holiday traditions was always the Hallmark ornaments sitting under the tree!
You see, Mom is a Hallmark fanatic! It all started 30 years ago when a little tiny Eskimo made his debut appearance in the first Frosty Friends ornament. Mom fell in love back then and hasn’t stopped collecting Frosty Friends ornaments ever since!
