As a newlywed I know that one of the hardest parts of planning a wedding is picking out your stationary… it impacts the entire tone of the wedding! From your invites to the program your stationary crosses over every aspect of the big day.
I don’t know about y’all but I absolutely love stationary… I was the little girl who poured over a new diary and was super excited to buy new school supplies at the beginning of every year! Yup I was the weird kid… you know how Hermionie smells new parchment when she smells the love potion? I always related to that! So it was no surprise when I became a graphic designer… now instead of browsing for new stationary I get to design it!
So two years ago when I started to plan my own wedding I decided to design each and every piece of my stationary… go figure!
Of course I still love browsing the stationary aisle… both literally and digitally! *wink wink* I figured we’d have a blast looking through all of the stationary together! Of course looking at all the pretty stationary made my fingers itch to design… so I might have gone a little crazy designing a stationary set for my best friend Ashley’s wedding! Plus I’m sharing with all of you… so if you’re looking for the perfect FREE printable stationary set then scroll to the bottom of this post… you can download your very own wedding stationary set for free!
The best part? I’ve designed all nine pieces as editable PDF’s… so you can easily customize each piece with your own information!
Until then… let’s go shopping!
Now here’s a tip… all invitations are beautiful but they don’t all have space for the same information! If you want every single parents name make sure there’s space for that… if you need room for a ceremony address and reception address keep that in mind. If the way your guest’s dress is important to you add a line for “cocktail attire” or “come as you are… we just want your company”. You’re planning this shebang so some details might seem second nature but your guests won’t know what to wear, where your registered or where the park is for your reception!
Make sure to include these details in some form or fashion… the last thing a bride needs is 20 calls on her wedding day from guests who got lost on the way from the ceremony to the reception!
Your invitations should definitely set the tone for the entire wedding… it is the first part of your wedding the guests will actually see (and hold in their hand!). Are you looking for a casual picnic reception? Are you having a formal cocktail hour? Let your stationary reflect your personal style… pick a fun color palette!
Are you having fun on this little shopping expedition yet? I don’t know about you but all of these invitations are making me absolutely giddy! The best part? I was looking for purple invitations since that’s Ashley’s favorite color but every single invitation on the list is available in multiple colors… so if you’ve fallen in love with a certain design but need it in fushia just click over to the site! It may very well come in your favorite shade of pink.
Well that’s the list! If you found your perfect invitation then I’ve done my job… but if you’re still in the market go ahead and download my FREE 9 piece wedding stationary set! These babies are fully editable PDF’s so you can insert your own information in moments… then have them printed!
I’ve included invitations, programs, thank you cards, direction cards, save the dates, table numbers, RSVP cards, reception cards and tiny little “will you be my bridesmaid?” invitations!
