This month’s Man Behind the Blog kind of snuck up on me! Not surprising though… I’ve thought it was October all month long so my sense of time is a little off! If you haven’t read a Man Behind the Blog post before this is how it works… every month Betsy from Heavens to Betsy posts 5 fabulous questions for the guys to answer. We get our guys to respond to her questions and then we head over to her blog to link-up! The best part? After hearing my hubby’s answer’s you can head over and see what all the other guys have to say! The link-up over at Heavens to Betsy happens the last Thursday of every month… so grab your guy and meet us there! I can’t wait to read all the answers!
Here’s the hubster’s answers for the month of September!
What’s the silliest thing you and your significan
Shaving the cat… that’s right put that on your blog and smoke it! Our kitty had bad fleas last week and I thought the best solution was to shave her bald… Betsy did not like that. So I compromised and said we could shave her with a longer guard. Now she looks like she’s bald… but she isn’t.
*He’s not loving the questions tonight… this should be fun! On the positive side now you all know that our cat is shaved.
If you were stranded on a deserted island, what 3 must haves would you bring with you?
I would bring a knife, a huge box of matches and a big pot. The knife is for hunting food or cutting stuff to build a shelter. Matches are obviously to build a fire and the pot is to boil salt water to make drinkable water.
Talents aside, what is your dream job?
My dream job would be Director of Nursing for a major hospital. I enjoy helping people and nursing is my passion but I think it would be a wonderful experience to be in position to help people in even more ways.
What are three things on your bucket list?
To visit Greece… I really enjoy Greek mythology and even fancy myself a Greek mythology buff. It would be an extreme honor to be in the place where it all began. The second thing on my bucket list is taking my children to Disney World… it was something that my dad did for me when I was a child and I would like my kids to have the same experience. Third would have to be owning my own clinic. Eventually I want to have my Nurse Practitioner’s license and as an NP I would be eligible to run my own practice.
What kind of date is your favorite to go on with your significan
I like a little of both romantic and fun… I like being able to spoil Betsy but it’s nice to have fun doing it. We could have a romantic dinner and follow it up with a fun movie! Although Betsy does prefer the romantic kind so most of the time I try to accommodate that.
My 5 Questions!
If someone asked you what my blog was about… How would you describe it?
I would describe it as a way to self beautify your place of zen. Or your home… some place that’s relaxing? You tries to make it easy for low-income families to create comfortable and functional living environments.
If you had to direct an interior designer to decorate our living room… what directions would you give them?
Lots of white and gray… make sure it’s functional yet beautiful. Nothing rustic wait scratch that… nothing modern and make sure you add hints of pink every once and a while. Stick to eclectic, empty space is wasted space, if it has order it’s wrong. Plus you have to add some blue… she’d go crazy if there wasn’t blue.
If you had to donate one piece of furniture to Goodwill which one would get the ax?
I would probably get rid of my office chair… it’s old and hurts my back. It really isn’t functional anymore. I’d switch it out for a nice high back leather chair with ergonomic capabilities.
Would you rather the decor in your home changed every 6 months or never changed at all?
As of right now my answer is never changed at all. For the simple fact that I have decorated 4 times in the past 2 years and am completely decorated out! I would like my house to stay the same for a while.
They say every period comes to an end and decor changes as people grow… do you think I will ever outgrow my current “style” of home decor? If so when?
I don’t think that there is currently a style out there that is strong enough to influence you to change your style. Maybe in fifty or sixty years there might be something that will change your mind but right now you’re pretty set in your ways.

Shaving the cat though hahahaha. I couldn’t imagine what ours would look like with no fluff.
And I’m so with your husband on visiting Greece, I majored in Classical Studies in college.

I’ll tell you what she would look like… An alien! It’s crazy what she looks like! Luckily Greece is on the top of my bucket list so we don’t have to argue over that one! Thanks for stopping by!

It’s hilarious that you shaved your poor cat. She looks so mad at you too. Love this series Betsy!

Oh trust me she was beyond mad! But she felt better without those nasty bugs! I love this series too… Now I just need to get him to stop putting all out secrets up there!
