Our master bedroom is soooo close to being finished… there are only a few finishing touches we really need to finish the room off! We need to hang art, pick out a few stellar curtain panels (since our new room has more windows than the last house!) and figure out a great solution for laundry. Strangely enough I’m not on board with the hubby’s solution of “just throwing it on the dresser and dealing with it later.”
I need something simple and collapsible because let’s face it… we don’t all have pinterest worthy bedrooms and laundry spaces! Our laundry room is 1/8th of a storage closet and our bedroom has absolutely no good place for a permanent standing laundry bin!
So I’ve come up with a quick and easy solution… my very own laundry station!
Maybe if I keep it all together in one place the hubby will know where to find everything… just maybe!
I started with a fold-able laundry bag. We keep our laundry in the bottom of our hall closet which is totally working for us (the hubby can kind of remember it so there’s minimal clothes on the dresser incidents!). The problem comes when we can’t fit a laundry basket in the bottom of the hall closet… and it gets very hard to haul the clothes down the hall! So a collapsible laundry bag is the perfect solution! It will fold away when not in use… plus it’s super cute!
Since our laundry room has no storage place we’re going to try keeping all of the laundry supplies together in the bedroom… like these nifty little all® free clear Mighty Pacs® in a cute little storage container! I grew up using detergent but the hubby absolutely loves the mighty pacs… he loves how easy they are! I love that they help him use exactly the right amount of detergent every single time so I don’t have to regulate laundry detergent like I do shampoo!
Quarter sized amounts honey… quarter size!
The best part is that I can pick up my all® free clear Mighty Pacs® at Sam’s Club every week. My little tiny town in LA (that’s lower Alabama to all of you fancy Californians) doesn’t have too many options when it comes to shopping so being able to pick up all of my supplies at Sam’s Club is super important to me. Plus it’s proven to be hypoallergenic and gentle on skin which is awesome since I have super sensitive skin.
I also have a very small drawer so the only other items I included was a tiny lint roller… because let’s face it with two cats and a dog you really can’t have too many lint rollers! Sometimes I feel like I have my very own fur coat shutter!
I do have a little extra space left in my drawer…. what else should I include?
