Hey there!
Materials
I always use these little tray’s from the Dollar Store… because they are magnetic!
How to do it
Paint away! For Chalkboard pain apply at least 2 coats, allowing at least an hour to dry between coats. I applied 3 coats to mine.
Tip: Apply coats in various directions to ensure 100% coverage. 1st coat can be left to right, 2nd coat- up and down, 3rd coat diagonally. Allow 24 hrs for paint to cure.

I did something similar to that when making a chore board for my 11 year old! Works great when she does it! 🙂

I love that it’s versatile! Lyn made hers so cute that it could be used for lots of things!

I bet this would work great for spices too!
Happily Ever After, Etc. says
I bet it would Catherine! You could find a long tray to store lots of little jars!

This post could not have come at a better time. Thank you so much!! I love the washii tape you used, it really can set off any craft project.

Isn’t washii tape the best? I think it’s taking over the craft world since there are so many patterns!

What great ideas! I’m going to be organizing my office soon and I can use them.
Happily Ever After, Etc. says
I’m so glad you liked them Lori! I can’t wait to see your office! Sounds exciting!

Very cute idea! It’s so hard to figure out how to organize little things like that. They usually just end up all together in a big jar or something!

Or in a junk drawer! Haha! Lyn’s idea is much easier… plus it’s super cute!

What a great idea for those mini items. I have never tried Washi tape. What is it? and where can I find it?
Happily Ever After, Etc. says
Washii tape is little, decorative tape! You can find it almost anywhere these days… any craft store (Michaels, Hobby Lobby) even Wal-Mart or Target seems to have a couple options. You can use it for anything you would use tape on… I’ve seen it on planners, bookmarks, craft projects… I use mine to hang small pictures on the wall! Happy crafting!

I love this idea of storing small things. Thanks for sharing this project. I think I actually might create this when I have some time.

I hope you do! So glad Lyn’s post could help… we would love to see pictures of your finished project!
